Login with email address? (General)

Hello Stephan,

The accounts on my site will automatically be inserted into the forums database. And on that leading system the email address is unique.

If so, I would suggest to set the email column of the user table to unique. If, for what reason ever, your check fails, the data integration is preserved by the DBMS.
