The misunderstanding was due the first eglish.lang file that you posted as recovery of the english file was different

is 64672 byte and is for MyLittleForum 2.3.0 (not 2.3.1)

Theese is the official page for translation about version 2.3 (= 2.3.0)

The latest english language file that you posted is for version 2.3.1.

This english file for 2.3.1 has some difference vs english.lang of 2.3.0.

This is not clear and in the translation page are missing the info about it and are missing also the translation files for 2.3.1.

Someone should add a section in translation wiki for 2.3.1 version.

Note: in the edit/write box (when you post) I believe that is missing the "underline" button (is availble bold and italic but not underline).
