The misunderstanding was due the first eglish.lang file that you posted as recovery of the english file was different

The file that you recoveer ...

... is 64672 byte and is for MyLittleForum 2.3.0 (not 2.3.1)

Theese is the official page for translation about version 2.3 (= 2.3.0)

The latest english language file that you posted is for version 2.3.1.

This english file for 2.3.1 has some difference vs english.lang of 2.3.0.

This is not clear and in the translation page are missing the info about it and are missing also the translation files for 2.3.1.

Please use the lang file for your package (seems to be 2.3.1) as base of your translation and ignore the outdated file in the wiki.

Someone should add a section in translation wiki for 2.3.1 version.

This is a task for Alex.

Note: in the edit/write box (when you post) I believe that is missing the "underline" button (is availble bold and italic but not underline).

This forum has no button and no bb-code for underline. At least the common bb-code [u] does not work. This is because danger of confusion with underlined links.
