Visitors of a client of mine are saying that "I've read posts and return the next day, my visited links (purple) are back to unread color status (blue)."
I do not have this problem. Any way for me to address this problem?

That's not "the whole truth". The marking of visited links additionally depends on URL parameters. As an example: the visited links at http://example.com/forum/index.php?mode=foo are marked, on http://example.com/forum/index.php without a parameter they are not. This is a problem with the extensive use of URL parameters.
