deleting messages (Technics)

I have a problem with deleting messages.
When I delete a message then the messages wich are below also removed.
What can I do to prevent.

Define "below". Do you mean the answers of a deleted posting[1]? Thats work as defined. If the parent element (any posting) is deleted, all childs (answers of the deleted posting) loose their parent (the deleted posting) and the database is inconsistent. Thatswhy every child has to be removed if the parent is deleted.

I mean, I have a tread. Someone is posting replay one then replay two and then replay three. When I look at the forum I see that message two must be deleted.
When I do that, message number one and three are also gone.
I don't want to delete them all only number two.
Is there a way to do that?

If you do not want to delete the replies underneath the posting you want to get rid of, a way around this is to use the "edit" feature and delete the contents of the posting, then replace the words that you have deleted with something like [Contents of Message Deleted].

Move the posting/branch first! It's just like the folders on your Computer: If you delete a folder you also delete all subfolders and files in it.
