PHP5 does not show the topics... (Bugs)

by Bert @, Friday, July 11, 2008, 11:27 (5762 days ago)

I know that PHP4 is the version to use but because it is not supported anymore (security updates and so) things will move to PHP version 5 in time anyhow.

I am using MyLittleForum for quiet some time now but my provider is switching from PHP4 to PHP5 in october and before that time it would be nice to know what to change in the code so that the forum shows again in full glory...

I am using the latest version though (2.0 RC2)

Please?

PHP5 does not show the topics...

Hi Bert,

I know that PHP4 is the version to use

mlf 2 requires PHP >= 4.2 (greater than or equal to 4.2) so there shouldn't be problems with PHP 5. I tested it on a local PHP 5 webserver and here's another test installation with PHP 5: http://web129.can03.de/mlf2/ (phpinfo).

Thanks for the quick reply Alex...

Then it must be something I have changed in the template file....

I will upload a clean version and see if that works out better to check again.

PHP5 does show...

by Bert @, Friday, July 11, 2008, 19:34 (5762 days ago) @ Alex

Okay, a clean install seems to work well... ;-)

Will change files one at the time to see when it will stall again and then find the problem.

Thanks anyhow!

Cured the problem...

by Bert @, Friday, July 11, 2008, 20:05 (5762 days ago) @ Alex

...wich was caused by some previous compiled files. I uploaded a full copy of my forum with still files inside the ../templates_c directory. After deleting those files the problem was solved...

Pfew! :-)
