Email-notification for everybody

Hello,

i want to inform every registered user about new post that was added in my forum. I saw that this feature is currently for admins only.
Is there a way to get this feature for every user?

I really like this forums-system and hope that there is a way to solve my problem.

why not using the rss-feed instead of email-notification?
Most modern browsers support this feature and personally i am glad for any email i donÂ´t receive.

I would be glad also, not to recieve so many emails. I would prefer the rss-feed.

But i have to setup the forum for a customer. And he want this special feature.

So once again: is there a way?

What I did was edit the users.php file (~ line 686) to remove the
if ($user_type=="admin" || $user_type=="mod")while displaying the checkbox options to notify when there is a new posting or user. Then the users should be able to decide if they want to receive an email whenever there is a new post.

I have done essentially the same in my forum (v.1.7.6). You must not delete the condition, but only move it to the second part (where the checkbox about notification of new registration sits). Otherwise any registered user can opt in to receive all new user's e-mail addresses!
