Can I ask, if I enable Akismet to check email form, that checks the contact form right? and what happens to the spam email that a spammer tries to send?

Mails, that are classified as spam are rejected. A warning message is shown to the author.

Ok, so I just tested the contact form with spam info with Akismet check email form enabled and it comes up with

When submitting what it thinks is spam using 2.4.19
I run into the same issue as I implemented B8 to the contact form. Thus, this problem is solved by #489, i.e.,
- replace
error_spam_suspicionbyerror_email_spam_suspicionkey
and will be public within the next release.

To the devs,
I also have this problem using 2.4.19 and I don't really want to update at this time as I am not very technical and the forum is working well for my son.
Do I only have to replace error_spam_suspicion text with error_email_spam_suspicion in the includes/contact.inc.php file?
Is that all that needs changing?

I replaced error_spam_suspicion text with error_email_spam_suspicion in the includes/contact.inc.php file
If I submit what it thinks is spam I get this error with no explanation of what the error is? just a dot
How can I get the error to say it has been denied due to possible spam
