As admin I added a new category and tried dragging it up the list but it does not save the order. On refresh of the page it goes back to the bottom and viewing as a user it stays at the bottom of the drop down category menu.

I can sort the categories of this forum with drag'n'drop. It seems not to be a general problem in the software. One question: Are you able to order the list with the up and down buttons instead by drag'n'drop?

In the latest Opera, I too can drag'n'drop the categories but it just doesn't save the order, if I refresh the order page it puts the new category to the bottom.
I tried also the up / down green arrows and that moved the category fine but also did not save the order.
Just to add, drag'n'drop for the bookmarks as a user works fine in Opera, it saves the order.

Yes, I also tested the bookmarks list and yes there the same code works.

Hi,
you are right. The problem is the modification of the admin.js file. The function initGlobalSettings() was removed but the function call wasn't. I provide a fix.

Thank you that fixed it. I have not added a new category in well over a year until the other day, so it is not a problem I would have came across.
