Ability to delete one's own account (Technics)

by Auge ⌂ @, Friday, December 14, 2018, 11:12 (307 days ago)

Hello

A few days ago I got an e-mail with the question how to close and delete one's own account in a MLF-forum. I was sure to be able to do this on my user profile page but didn't find the button. I see the button as an administrator on everyone elses profile page but not on my own.

Is a registerd user able to delete her/his own account or has she/he to ask (one of) the forum administrator(s)?

Hello,

Is a registerd user able to delete her/his own account or has she/he to ask (one of) the forum administrator(s)?

Currently, an admin must remove the account. I've started to implement the desired feature. What do you think: Is it better to add a link or to use a button?

Once you click the button/link, you are forward to a confirmation page, i.e.,

Heiko

If you want to load a confirmation page you have to use a link. A button would presume JavaScript.

Hello,

Heiko

Hmm, .... ? ;-)

If you want to load a confirmation page you have to use a link.

I remove the submit button and merge the code.

Happy x-mas
