Running multiple forums …
On the earlier forums it was as simple as changing the userdata_table banlists_table useronline_table to read from the same database. I tried this on the 2.4.9 and its not working,

I am not aware of any change we made, that could break the old behaviour.

Is it possible to run multiple forums with 2.4.9

It should be possible with version 2.4.9 as before.

I never tried that for myself but the several descriptions, users left in this forum, tells me, that you need to set different session name prefixes and different table name prefixes during the installations. If you want to share database tables, you have to manipulate the table names in the file config/db_settings.php. That should be all you need to do to get it working.
