It's ok if you only have a few categories in the forum. But if you have close to 10 different categories, it loses the FOCUS. People have no idea where to go, all they see is all the posts from all different categories all grouped together on one page. It will be hard to attract NEW forum members, they get turned off when there is no clear sense of topics or categories.

I understand your problem. But the great plus of "my little forum" is the simplicity. You (not you as a person) can have many boards with a menu like you describe it.

FIRST impression is very important. We want to make it easy for people to see what categories are available the moment they enter the forum.

Almost every member from my site said we need a clear summary in the beginning so that they know where to navigate for the topics they like.

If we have have this feature, mylittleforum will be unbeatable. It will most definitely be the best board in the world.

If there are features like this (not only this one) "my little forum" will be no more "my little forum". What would other users of the script, who don't want to have this feature(s), say, when "my little forum" is like all other boards? Why they should use this and not one of the others?

I support this software since some years for the reason, that this one is not a feature monster like the other ones. Only small and simple.
