what should i put in mail_parameter then ?

Please ask the FAQ of your hoster or the hoster itself. Often it is the name and/or email address of the sender (i.e. -f mail@example.com).

because it worked before without any set in the mail_parameter input and suddenly one day it didn't work anymore.

that's why i feel puzzled
