i checked but can't find the string New Topics

it seems to have something to do with $breadcrumbs so where is this then ?

Do you talk about the links in the second bar (new topic, refresh, order, fold threads and table view)? Then look into the css file style.min.css and search for the strings of the given class names of the according HTML-elements.
