Here is another vote for SQlite support. SQlite would complement MLF wonderfully, as they are both small and easy to manage. I am quite sure that SQlite database would be able to server 99% of all MLF forums out there, and also it would be dead easy to install for the novices.

I am the wrong person to address this. But now, when we are here: Alex told me, he want's to be able to port the database queries between the database engines in new softwares. So maybe he would port mlf2 to SQLite in the future, ...

Recently I started to covert a number of my sites to SQlite and it works like a charm.

... but maybe you could do that. The script is free (as in freedom), so you are allowed to do it if you are able.
