The red arrow that points to post new. I want to change it but don't see it in images.

This arrow is referenced via CSS in the block for a.stronglink (style.min.css line #11 ff). Keep in mind that there are further definitions for the hovered state of a link. The sprite itself is part of bg_sprite_1.png (located in themes/default/images) but you can reference another (i.e. your own) image as well.
