Over seeing moderator actions (General)

Hello

I was thinking about having a moderator but the forum lets the moderator
permanently delete post.

I was thinking, if there happens to be a falling out the moderator can delete years of post and potentially destroy many years of history.

Yes, this is possible.

Is there a way to allow the moderator to delete bad post but to save the post for the final decision of the forum owner or administration, this way if the moderator has the intent to destroy the forum it can be undone.

No, there is currently no function to constrict the moderators to not deleting but hiding postings. One as a forum administrator had to select people to be part of the forum team with care.

It would be an idea to hide removed postings/threads by default in a hidden category but this would not work in a forum without categories and it would possibly end in a great amount of work for some forum admin(s).

Tschö, Auge
