Mysteriously banned word (my little forum) |
Hi there,
I posted this in error on the 2.x forum, but the problem I'm having is with a 1.6 installation and after upgrading to 1.7 the error still exists. I've checked the code an there's nothing wrong as far as I can tell.
The problem I'm having is that a certain word is banned when writing entries, but it is not in my banned words list. I have never added it to the list and it has never been there, but still I get the error message saying the post includes a banned word. This happens every time I try to make a post including the word "s o c i a l i s m" (or any version of it, i.e. s o c i a l i s t, s o c i a l i s t i c, etc.).
I run a political forum, so it is pretty important for them to be able to submit posts with this word (as you probably understand).
Do any of you guys experience the same error? Any thoughts of what this could be?
When posting this I realized I get the same error caused by the same word here too. What the heck is this - a politically censured forum software?

Hi bylund,
here in this installation it was caused by the banned word cialis. Do you have this as a banned word as well?

You're right! Yes, cialis is banned in my forum as well, since it is a common word used by spammers.
Thanks!
