It is not a bug.
The allowed maximum length of posts (in characters) can be set by the admin (variable text_maxlength). The default is 5,000 (don’t know what is the limit here).
In my forum I set the limit to 15,000 characters. No problem.
I am a Chinese.I can't speak English well.
