You should ignore it because it's an update to version 2.3 and yours is 2.3.3. You got it?

Hi Auge,

Thanks for the info. Okay, I get it now! Should I remove the 2.2.3 update from the update folder and empty the configuration_c folder or ignore everything!:-D :ok:

Err, wait! Wich 2.2.3-update, you're talking about? In the opening posting you said, you installed the version 2.3.3 and the update 2.x-to-2.3 failed.

In this case nothing happened except wrong PHP-files. Check for the file-generation-timestamps of the files on your server and in your local copy of the version 2.3.3 and, if necessary, copy the PHP-files to the server.

This is what I see in the admin by "update"!

Current version: 2.3.3

How to update

It's recommended to disable the forum while updating (uncheck "forum enabled" in the forum settings)
Download the latest version from mylittleforum.net
Unpack the script package, look for the according update file in the subfolder "update" and upload this file into the folder "update" on your server
Reload this page and the update file should appear below
Click on the file and follow the further instructions
After running the update you get a list of files and folders which have to be added or replaced
Clear the directory templates_c (delete all files in this dirctory) after you have added/replaced the files/folders
Available update file(s)

update_2.x-2.3.php

If I want to install the following update I get the following screen:

Error!
Error in line 258: This update file doesn't work with the current version.

I hope you now better understand what is going on!

The error is, to try to update from 2.3.3 to 2.3. You can't update the installation because of the newer installed version. Delete the update file. I can't imagine any problems because there was no action of the update.php except the denial of the process.

Okay Auge,

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I delete the update file now!
Must I also empty the folder 'templates_c' or not?
Thanks for the quick service.

It contains cached HTML-documents. If necessary, these files would be newly generated. So it's no risk to delete the old files.
