Italian localization

Hi.

Italian language file update.

In localization-wiki thread you talk about 2.3 program version but my translation is for 2.3.1. I believe tht shopuld be ok.

I want to load the english language (that I checked you updated on May 2013).
When I select enghlish (2.3) in the translate page

mylittleforum.net/localization-wiki/doku.php

appear a text about iPod and not the english text with strings for program.
What's the matter? How can view the latest english text file?

Could you enable the option also to downlaod (not only to view) the fiel with teh strings?

Now the italian language should be fully translated. I hope to see the green tick on it.

I verified that the buttons witdh on the right of edit box (when you post a message) is too short. the width is ok for english text but is too short for other langauges. Could you enlarge the button width? Now when you translate part of teh etxt is outside the button.

I'm talking about bold/italiac/link/color/size/list/image/upload7flash/TeX/code/more button. Is some acse (ex. image or size teh space for etxt is less than button width because you have an ion inside).

Thanks.

Hi,

Italian language file update.

Thank you for supporting this project!

I think, it is okay. ;-)

I want to load the english language (that I checked you updated on May 2013).
When I select enghlish (2.3) in the translate page

Oh, there was a spam attack. I restore the current lang-file.

Could you enable the option also to downlaod (not only to view) the fiel with teh strings?

english.lang

Could you enlarge the button width?

You can do it in your own CSS-file (e.g. style.min.css). Look for #bbcode-bar button and replace the width-attribute like:

#bbcode-bar button {
  width: 200px;
  /* other parameters */
}

Hi.

Thanks for the quickly reply.
I will etst the english language comparing as strings number with my italian language.

I will forward your info to futeko.com admin (to implement it in his forum).

I propose you to make it as default larger width (300pixel) for you code,
In this way anyone that download you code has already this option right set (for multilanguage use).

Could you enable new button width in your forum and I will test in place in your forum using italian language? We can start as 300pixel.

Could you implement my italian language (updated) in your forum?
I will etst in place.

futeko.admin asked me if putting my new italian langauge (updating the current one) can create probelm (crash) to the forum.
I believe that updating italian language cannot create problem.

Hi,

first of all, I am not the administrator of this project. Thus, I can't changing the sources of this forum or something like that.

I propose you to make it as default larger width (300pixel) for you code,

This is Alex's task, not one of me - sorry.

Could you enable new button width in your forum and I will test in place in your forum using italian language? We can start as 300pixel.

300px? I think, this is to large. At the moment, the button width is of about 62px. I enlarge the button to 100px in my forum - see here. I also add your lang-file (in my forum). You have to sign up to check your translation in place (see screen-shot below)

futeko.admin asked me if putting my new italian langauge (updating the current one) can create probelm (crash) to the forum.

I don't think so.

Micha

Thanks. It works. great. As you can see the button width is now enough (i believe that can be reduced a little if you need ).

Please check that there is a problem on translation about "mehr" button ("Altre faccine" in italian / "Other smiles" in english)" and relative ballon help.

Which is the button width (in pixel) that you set in your forum?

It's important also to understand the differences about english.lng that you posted today, and the file included in source archive distribution.
Which is the right one? If your file ebcause teh file inside the source archive is not upadte?
It's important to understand which file use as reference for translation.

Yes, you are right. It is a bug. The default language is used. I will check the source code next time.

Which is the button width (in pixel) that you set in your forum?

My css-changes (only width-parameters):

#bbcode-bar{width:102px}
#bbcode-bar button{width:102px;}
#smiley-bar{width:110px}
#smiley-bar button.default{width:50px}
#smiley-bar button.more-smilies{width:102px;}

It's important also to understand the differences about english.lng that you posted today, and the file included in source archive distribution.

I make a copy of the current lang file of this forum.

Hi.

I found the misundertanding. In a previous post you wrote

"Oh, there was a spam attack. I restore the current lang-file..."

I found that the english amster file that you restored is not identical to the english master file included in source archive (that it's identical to teh file that you are using in your forum).
Where did you take the english amster file that you restored?

If the english master file included in source archive is right could you restore the englisg master file using the file included in source archive?
Because the translator should have a sure base reference to check the translation.

Thanks.

Hi,

Where did you take the english amster file that you restored?

I take it from the wiki (history function). Unfortunate, it seems not to be the current file.

Because the translator should have a sure base reference to check the translation.

The current lang files are in the download package. Please take this as a reference. My english.lang file is taken from this package.

Yes. I understand.

The misunderstanding was due the first eglish.lang file that you posted as recovery of the english file was different

The file that you recoveer and is available in

http://mylittleforum.net/localization-wiki/doku.php?id=start
http://mylittleforum.net/localization-wiki/doku.php?id=2.3:english.lang
http://mylittleforum.net/localization-wiki/doku.php?do=export_code&id=2.3:english.lang&co...

is 64672 byte and is for MyLittleForum 2.3.0 (not 2.3.1)

Theese is the official page for translation about version 2.3 (= 2.3.0)

The latest english language file that you posted is for version 2.3.1.

This english file for 2.3.1 has some difference vs english.lang of 2.3.0.

This is not clear and in the translation page are missing the info about it and are missing also the translation files for 2.3.1.

Someone should add a section in translation wiki for 2.3.1 version.

Note: in the edit/write box (when you post) I believe that is missing the "underline" button (is availble bold and italic but not underline).

Someone should add a section in translation wiki for 2.3.1 version.

This is a task for Alex.

Note: in the edit/write box (when you post) I believe that is missing the "underline" button (is availble bold and italic but not underline).

This forum has no button and no bb-code for underline. At least the common bb-code [u] does not work. This is because danger of confusion with underlined links.

Hi.

I checked that the language that you posted few minutes ago has some differences than master english language include in you source archive.

For this reason if your master english language is the file taht you posted today (please confirm this) I have to dome some chanegs to my italian language file.
