500 internal server error??? (General)

I get a 500 internal server error when trying to run the install script. Does anyone know what the problem is? Thank you

You should check your web server log file for more details.

I’ve got the same error.
Server log:
[error] [client myIP] SoftException in Application.cpp:256: File "/mysitehomedir/forum/install/index.php" is writeable by group
Chmod is on that index.php is 644. I’ve tried change to 777.
It worked fine on the other hostings and local windows.

Well it should be working once you remove the write permissions to the group. Some web servers are configured not to like it.
