Moving a Post (General)

by edkgb, Sunday, September 20, 2009, 09:41 (5334 days ago)

Hi,

If I want to move a post how do I find the post number that I want to move it to.

Also
Is it possible to remove 'Move' a posting for a Moderator.

Is it possible to show that 'Admin' or a 'Moderator' is logged on.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi Eddie!

If I want to move a post how do I find the post number that I want to move it to.

In the forum's main page, hover with the mouse above the target post. In the status line of your browser you see the id of the post (like your original post: http://mylittleforum.net/forum/index.php?mode=thread&id=4338).

Moving a Post (thread vs. post)

Hi John!

I forgot something in my first post. If you want to move a post/thread not to the first (top level) post of a thread, but link it to a particular post within the thread's tree, have a look at the status line again.
E.g., your post shows up as http://mylittleforum.net/forum/index.php?mode=thread&id=4338#p5286
4338 is the ID (id) of the thread, and
5286 is the ID (p) of the post.
