Hi Fabian,
as there were no database changes between version 2.0 beta 26 and 2.0 RC 1 (see changlog) you can just change the version number manually (Forum settings → Advanced settings → version → "2.0 RC 1").
The update script (update_2.x-2.1.php) should work then.
