Tacking threads to the top? (General)

by Allegra ⌂ @, Sunday, September 21, 2008, 05:08 (5696 days ago)

Hello moderators,

I was just wondering how you tacked postings to the top of the forum. I don't seem to have that option or maybe I'm just dumb. I am referring to the top two postings on the index page (page 1) of this my little forum. The tacks are red, and superimposed on the posting icon located to the left of the thread title.

I should be specific in that I have version 1.7 of my little forum, not version 2.0. Is this a new feature? I installed your forum in July (2008). This is my forum if you need to see it:

Tacking threads to the top?

Hi Allegra,

I have version 1.7
http://3dbeading.com/forum/index.php?mode=index

It's version 2.0 RC 1, see HTML source: <meta name="generator" content="my little forum 2.0 RC 1" />

I was just wondering how you tacked postings to the top of the forum.

Normally there's a checkbox "Sticky" below the textarea when starting a new thread or editing an initial posting (as admin or mod):

... but as you made quite major layout modifications I can't tell you where you put it! ;-)

Tacking threads to the top?

Oh I see... I think I commented it out because I didn't know what it was and I didn't know that I was the only person seeing it. LOL! I'll uncomment it now. LOL! So you can still click it when editing an existing thread? (that wasn't previously tacked)? Thanks!
