I updated from 2.2.7 to 2.2.8

After using the update routine I replaced the folders/files according to the changelog.

Now, when I want to submit a new Topic, the Board says:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /xxx/xxx/xxx/htdocs/xxx/forum/modules/stringparser_bbcode/stringparser.class.php on line 1251

I re-copied the file from the original download to my webspace, but it didn't change anything.

I don't know what the mistake is. May it be that my Hoster's PHP Version does not fit with the new Board-Version?
