Does it really make sense to show only replies?

I show the last five answered threads on the mainpage and not in the forum...

In my opinion, yes. A thread which have 5 answers will show like:
Alex, will this work ?
Alex, will this work ?
Alex, will this work ?
Alex, will this work ?
Alex, will this work ?

That's not a information. This thread has a (very) hight weight cause it is very interesting. A non-popular thread gos under.
