i 've got a problem, the forum doesn't fetch its settings from the mysql table
at all. if i change for example the name of the forum, the changed name appears correctly in the table, but still the forum is called "my little forum". this is just one example.

can anyone please help me? have i missed something out?

It seems, that the browser cache is the problem. Empty the cache and try again.
