I just realised that multiple blanks are no more collapsed to a single one (for a comparison see this locked post), i.e., [inlinecode] behaves like [code] in this respect.

Test [inlinecode]
start ->simple text, [i]italic[/i], 10 blanks enclosed by brackets: [          ]<- end

That's great! But on the other hand no parsing of BBcodes is performed within the block (again like in [code]).
Is there any way to change this behaviour? Still I want it to write simple formulas, where the whole arsenal of formatting (italics, sub-/subscripts) has to be used...
You already wrote that this is a bug in v1.x, but how to overcome it in v2.x?
For a simple example which relies on formatting within [inlinecode] see this post in my forum (italics and superscript are used)...
